Emo Culture
Emo is popular now, the kids appear to be quite taken with the Emo culture that is on a rise like the steam from a turn of a century locomotive. What does that mean or say about the people we are? I honestly can't say because no real thought was invested into this matter up until this time which is why I wonder if it has something to do with going back to the roots of our human nature which secretly appear to be stemming from that illogical tangible thing we call emotion.
Life is a journey from which you can not hide or run away, but I suspect you already knew this fact of life. In that sense we are not free, that being said we are not free in more ways then we are, which begs the question why is the concept of freedom so desired among the human kind. I often feel amused when I use human kind as a reference point, I suppose it's my figurative way of detaching myself from the species. In a sense creating an illusion that I'm something else. I find it difficult to justify and not to mention prove that concept, given the nature of my existence it becomes nearly impossible. But here we always strive to think outside the general construct of understanding therefore I take the notion that every and all rules are meant to be broken seriously in a matter of speaking. Speaking becomes important when one wishes to verbally express their inner thoughts and at times emotions.
Here is that word again, emotion. We have so many words to describe the seemingly infinite supply of emotions yet the meanings remain largely unclear as soon as one attempts to express and perhaps explain them to another. But who is to say they were clear the instant they were conceived?
